Donut Social with Easter Cards for the Sisters of Saint Rita
Join us on Sunday, March 30, 2025 after the 10:00 a.m. Mass for our monthly donut social! While we enjoy each other’s company, we will write Easter cards of hope and encouragement to the residents and patients of Saint Monica’s Senior Living in Racine, WI, who are cared for by the Sisters of Saint Rita. Donut Social with Christmas Card Writing
Join us on Sunday, December 3, 2023 after the 10:00 a.m. Mass as we begin the Advent season with a donut social! While we enjoy each other’s company, we will write Christmas cards of hope and encouragement to incarcerated members of the community. This activity is being offered in collaboration with the Augustinian Defenders of the Rights of the Poor (A.D.R.O.P.)

Racial Healing Retreat
As part of the Shrine’s ongoing commitment to healing, reconciliation, and peacemaking, we will be hosting a retreat morning with members of the Archbishop’s Commission on Racial Healing on Saturday, August 12, 2023 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the Cascia Center. All members of the community are welcome to attend.

“Finding God in Loss” Retreat
Have you recently experienced a loss? Maybe you have suffered the death of a loved one, a difficult diagnosis, a job change, or some other unexpected obstacle (or want to care for someone who has)?
Join us on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for a half-day retreat to reflect on the presence and healing power of God in the midst of grief. The cost is $25 and includes lunch. The day will be led by Fr. Jim Paradis, O.S.A. and Fr. Jeremy Hiers, O.SA. in partnership with the Saint Raymond Nonnatus Foundation.

Let nothing be an obstacle to experiencing the healing and merciful love of God in your life!
You are invited to join us for a communal Advent Penance Service on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Upper Shrine. Whether it’s been a few days, a few weeks, or a few years since participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we invite you to join us for this special afternoon as we prepare for the joys of Christmas. Opportunities to go face to face and anonymously will be provided by multiple priests.
You can prepare for this Penance Service by looking through different Examinations of Conscience provided by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
